Ballerina Black, Los Angeles based band, echos the sounds and resurgence of post-punk romantics, such as The Cure and New Order, in their own original pop-indie fashion. Formed in 2008, friends Bobby Moynahan and Scott Eton began making music out of a necessity to create. "We learned our instruments together and just kept evolving.. Scott liked the stuff I was coming up with, and he complimented it; sonically better than anyone else, simple," reflects songwriter/singer Moynahan. "Grave Wave", is an apt term when it comes to describing some of the 80's, synth-driven landscapes Eton juxtaposes amid Moynahan's morose dialogues.
Ballerina Black has opened up for the likes of Interpol and The Silversun Pickups..They've also toured the U.K.. A local favorite among Los Angeles radio stations, the the band prepares it's latest release in 2017, with a string of singles off their new E.P. "East Linus."
